Ben Rowe is an elderly man whom Annie meets while volunteering at the Shady Hills nursing home in Ring of Light. Though cranky and unfriendly at first, Annie befriends him and they become very close. Sadly, he passes away at the end of the book, and Annie must cope with his death.
